Wheat! Wheat!
We Love Wheat!
What is this thing we call, "Wheat?" Wheat is a sacrifice done prayerfully for others. TECites have the opportunity and are encouraged to perform wheat every single day of our lives but especially during a TEC weekend.
Some forms of wheat include, but are not limited to the following:
Kitchen
So who's hungry for some good home cookin' and great friendly fellowship? You are? Great!! This is perfect for you. Kitchen helpers are always needed for each delicious meal served on the weekend. If you have some free time during the TEC weekend (Saturday morning through Monday lunch), please contact Jill Ross of your availability.
Cookies . . . Cookies . . . Cookies . . . We love cookies! Cookies are also needed on the weekends. Show the team and candidates how much you care and bake someone happy.
Hoot
We are always looking for some new acts for the upcoming TECs. It is a good way to do wheat for the team and candidates. If you have ideas for an act and would like to be in one, please email "The Hoot Chairperson" with your plans. We can only use three (3) additional acts because of our limited time schedule.
Wheat Letters
A great way to do wheat is by writing wheat letters and praying for the leaders, team, and candidates. Wheat letters can be written to the individual team members and candidates for the Paschal Mystery meditation, for the weekend packets, and for the individual Tec as a whole. Write or email a wheat letter and send it to Kim Santman.
Wheat Team
The "wheat team" mission is prayer and service, and proves to be a spiritual growth experience. Wheat team members must be willing to commit to being available most of the weekend. TECites must have served on a TEC team before serving on a wheat team. If you have an interest in being on a wheat team, please fill out a wheat team application, and send it to Brenda Barnickel.
